There are many reasons for each person wanting to connect with nature more. Ecotherapy (Nature Therapy) involves doing activities in nature. This approach explores the human relationship with nature; people have a deep connection to their environment and to the Earth itself. The process of nurturing this bond is an essential and therapeutic part of our humanity.
We are connected with all life; the land, the water, the air, the sun and other creatures. For Mother Nature’s gift of life, we need to honour the Earth. Doing so will bring a flourishing connection on our wellbeing.
Mindfully connecting with nature is one of the best ways to dramatically shift your mental and emotional state.
It takes just a few minutes to fit nature based activities into your daily routine for a ‘boost in life’. Being active in natural spaces is what it’s all about. Rejuvenating the mind, body and soul, feeling calmer, at peace, relaxed and more focused (clearing the mind).
Nature heals like nothing else. Nature feels like nothing else. Awaken your senses, relax and recharge, and be truly healthy. When in a cycle of depression or anxiety, walking around in nature provides a calming influence on the mind, body and soul. A beautiful setting creates a deeper healing effect; it can lift depression, diminish mental fatigue, release stress and anxiety, stimulate the human senses, strengthen the immune system, and improve sleep.
‘Gentle’ action brings creative change. Changing the way we think will influence the way we want to change and lead our lives. Creating ‘change that is sustainable’ is important; reflect and reinforce the importance of health and wellbeing.
Nature creates and sustains life. There is nothing more precious than the gift of life. How we choose to live it is entirely up to each individual. Spending some time in nature every day will have a positive effect on your strength, fitness, energy and your physiological impact.
